There is a man in the bar, sitting alone at a table for four with the Observation Window directly on his left, close enough to touch. He has an enormous glass jar of jelly beans and he is methodically sorting them by colour into a number of smaller bowls laid out in front of him.

Other things about him that might come off as odd include: the fact that he is wearing a ferociously lilac button-down shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows under a muted green vest; the fact that he is not wearing any shoes, and his socks don't match, one of them yellow with a black pattern of bats and the other black with little yellow smiley faces; and, finally, the scars on his face, extending the sides of his mouth into a permanent crooked smile.

He might welcome company. Or he might not. It's not always easy to tell.

Tony is already laughing.

"Fuck, man, gross! You don't know where that's been!"

"Sure I do!" he says cheerfully. "I saw it and everything!"

"Well, you don't know where I've been."

He sticks out his tongue.

"Sweetie," he says. "I've got a pretty good guess."

"Pffft."

[manofmyword]

His tongue flicks out over his lips; he grins.

"Takes one to know one, you know?"

. . . Tony chuckles. His posture changes subtly, a little less provocative and a little more casual.

Not entirely unprovocative, though.

He giggles and blows Tony a kiss with both hands.

"I used to, anyway," he says, with his irrevocably crooked grin.

"Whatcha do now?"

[manofmyword]

"This'n'that. I robbed a bank last month," he offers as an example.

Tony looks dubious.

"Not a lotta long term percentage in that, I hear."

[manofmyword]

"Well, I'm not gonna do it again. That would just be boring," he says loftily, and then winks.

"Smart guy."

[manofmyword]

"Aww, you're so sweet."

[smokeandstreets]

Tony licks his lips.

"So I'm told."

[manofmyword]

He giggles. "Ooh. Are you flirting with me, honey?"

[smokeandstreets]

He snorts.

"What, it took you this long?"

[manofmyword]

"We-ell, there's flirting and then there's flirting."

[smokeandstreets]

Tony wags his eyebrows.

"Which do you think I'm doing?"

[manofmyword]

He tips his head to one side, then the other, considering.

"I don't think you know."

[smokeandstreets]

He snorts. "Fuck you."

[manofmyword]

Cheerfully: "You wanna?"

[smokeandstreets]

"Depends what I'm gonna get out of it."

[manofmyword]

"Mm, that depends what you want."

[smokeandstreets]

"Goin' rate's $75 for a blowjob, $200 and up for a lay, but I'll discount for a drink."

Or an exceptionally good fuck, but he generally doesn't hold out hope for that.
